Running Backs

Nick’s RB Rankings:

I did not put a ton of time into this years RB rankings but I wanted to put a list out anyways.

  1. Bijan Robinson
    • Bijan is in a tier of his own. Electric RB who can make plays out of the backfield and as a receiver out of the backfield. He will transform an offense the minute he gets to the NFL.
  2. Zach Charbonnet
  3. Jahmyr Gibbs
  4. Devon Achane
    • Ranking these three are very tough in my eyes. Zach Charbonnet is a big back who has quick feet and can make plays out of the backfield. Jahmyr Gibbs is a game breaking receiver out of the backfield. He has the speed to make home run plays out of the backfield but is not as great of a runner as he is receiver. Lastly, Devon Achane is a breakaway run waiting to happen. Elite speed that will change an offense and soft hands out of the backfield. He will not command the workload that the other two have as he does not have the size to withstand it, but he will make his presence known in the touches he does get.
  5. Zach Evans
  6. Israel Abanikanda
  7. Sean Tucker
    • Zach Evans is a great talent who will bring a solid run game to a NFL offense. The fact that he was not able to take over a backfield in college pushes him down the list, but he put up great film regardless. Israel Abanikanda is the youngest back in the draft and is one who really came on in his Junior season. He did not really take over the backfield until his Junior year which is a bit of a red flag but with him being the youngest back I really don’t have too big of an issue with it. If he can develop as a receiver, he could be a stud at the next level. Sean Tucker is a very solid back. If he is healthy he can take over a backfield in the NFL and not look back.
  8. Roschon Johnson
  9. Kendre Miller
  10. Tyjae Spears
  11. Chase Brown
